an auction of construction, farm and industrial equipment for all business types.
The consignment auction business is not new to the American economy. There are
several auction companies of this type operating throughout the United States as
well as worldwide. Typically, this type auction company conducts the auction at
its own location. However, most of these auction companies will do on-site auctions
for customers, if needed. Yellow Iron Auctions, Inc. will do auctions on or off site to
meet client needs.
Sale of industrial, farm and construction equipment on a consignment basis gives the
seller(s) an opportunity to sell any excess equipment regardless of the number of
items. This provides the buyer(s) the opportunity to have a choice of many types
of equipment at one location, the privilege of inspecting the equipment and, if
desired, to operate the equipment prior to the sale. Additionally, it creates a
market for financiers and lenders who have assets to liquidate. Rather than
depending on limited buyers, an auction makes it possible to have competitive
bidding, thereby yielding a higher return on liquidated assets. Equipment
sells to the highest bidder.
